OUR STORY

Rockhampton Touch Association has been a proud part of the local sporting community for decades. Since 1987, Rocky Touch has called Cyril Connell Fields home, following earlier years at Gracemere and Brosnan Oval in North Rockhampton.

Over the years, the Association has grown through the commitment of our clubs, teams, volunteers, coaches, referees and families. From grassroots junior touch through to senior and representative pathways, Rocky Touch has created a place for generations of local players to get on the field, build friendships and be part of something bigger.

ROCKY TOUCH TODAY

Today, Rockhampton Touch is home to a loyal network of clubs, social teams, junior players and senior competitors. With two seasons held each year, there is a place to play for all ages, abilities and reasons for getting involved.

Our senior competitions bring together players who want to play socially with mates, represent their club, develop their skills or pursue higher level opportunities. Monday nights offer mixed competition, while Wednesday nights feature men’s, ladies’ grades along with masters men’s divisions. Junior touch is a major part of Rocky Touch, welcoming children from their first introduction to the game through to secondary school age. It provides a fun, supportive environment to build skills, confidence and a love of the game, while also creating opportunities for players to progress into representative pathways as they develop.

We are committed to keeping touch football accessible for local families and ensuring cost is not a barrier to participation. Rocky Touch accepts eligible Queensland Government FairPlay Vouchers, and our Third Child Plays Free initiative helps make it easier for more families to get involved.
