Junior Competition

SEASON 2

Season 2 offers competitions for players from Under 6 through to Under 14, alongside the new Kennasey Schools Cup for secondary school students.

Please note: No junior games will be played the following:

26 September 2026 to 3 October 2026 – school holidays
31 October 2026 – Red Rooster Carnival

TEAM REGISTRATION

Team nominations are free and must be completed online through MySideline.

The person nominating the team will need to:

Click red 'REGISTER TEAM HERE' link below
Select the relevant junior competition and age division
Create or sign in to their NRL Account
Complete the online team nomination form
Add team details and where possible, player email addresses

Once the nomination is complete, the team organiser will receive a registration link and access code to share with players. Where player email addresses have been included, MySideline can send invitations directly to each player.

Team nominations close Sunday 9th August 2026.

Late nominations may still be accepted where space is available; however, teams may miss the opening round and will need to contact the Rocky Touch administration team before being added.

PLAYER REGISTRATION

Every player must have their online registration completed before taking the field.

Players can register in one of two ways:

REGISTER THROUGH YOUR TEAM INVITATION

Use the registration link sent by your team organiser. Select your team, create or sign in to your NRL Account, complete your details and proceed to payment.

SEARCH FOR YOUR TEAM

Visit MySideline and search for your team by name. Select the listing under Rockhampton Touch, ensuring you choose the correct Season 2 competition and division.

Create or sign in to your NRL Account, select the player’s profile, complete their details and proceed to payment.

Players wishing to play in more than one junior team or step up into a senior competition can find further registration information below.

PLAYER FEES

First Senior Team
$75 per player

An annual membership and insurance fee of $65 may also apply during your first registration for the membership year. This fee is paid once between 1 July and 30 June, regardless of how many Rockhampton Touch teams or competitions you play in during that period.

Junior players can participate in more than one junior team using their original junior registration, provided the teams are not in the same division and the player meets the age requirements for each competition.

Players should first register and pay through their primary junior team. Once complete, email admin@rockytouch.com with:

Player name
Primary team and division
Additional team and division

The Rocky Touch administration will then manually add the player to the additional team. There is no additional Rocky Touch season fee for playing in more than one junior team.

JUNIOR PATHWAY REGISTRATION

Eligible junior players are welcome to step up and participate in senior competitions while continuing their junior touch season. Players must first be registered in a Rocky Touch junior team and must be turning 12 years of age by 31 December 2026. The additional senior registration fee is $75.

To register, search for and select “JUNIOR PATHWAYS S2 2026“

Once registration is complete, email admin@rockytouch.com with the player’s name and the senior team and division they need to be added to.

Junior players who are not registered in the Rocky Touch junior competition will need to pay the full first team senior registration fee of $125.

JUNIOR PLAYERS REGISTERING FOR SENIORS

Eligible junior players are welcome to step up and play in senior competitions while continuing their junior touch season.

Junior players registered in the 2026 Rocky Touch junior competition can add a senior team at the reduced rate of $75.

To register, search for and select “JUNIOR PATHWAYS S2 2026” and complete payment. Once registration is complete, email admin@rockytouch.com with the player’s name, along with the senior team and division they would like to be added to.

USING A PLAYON VOUCHER

Players using a PlayOn voucher should email the voucher to admin@rockytouch.com before registering.

Please include:

Player name
Team name
Competition and division
Voucher details

The Rocky Touch administration team will provide the correct registration instructions and arrange placement into the nominated team.

THIRD CHILD FREE

Families registering three or more children in the Rocky Touch junior competition can access the Third Child Free initiative.

Before registering the third child, email admin@rockytouch.com with:

The name and team of the third child
The names and teams of the two paying siblings

The Rocky Touch administration will provide the correct registration instructions and arrange placement into the nominated team.

Rocky Touch continues to promote this initiative as part of keeping junior participation accessible for local families.

COACHES AND JUNIOR REFEREES

UNDER 6’s & UNDER 8’s: Coaches and managers of Under 6 and Under 8 teams are required to referee their own games each week. Whistles are available from the Rocky Touch administration team where required.

UNDER 10’s & UNDER 12’s: Referees are supplied for the Under 10 and Under 12 competitions.

KENNASEY SCHOOLS CUP: Participating secondary schools will be required to provide referees to assist with officiating games throughout the season.

Coaches, managers and families should familiarise themselves with the modified rules applying to the Under 6, Under 8 and Under 10 age groups.

New to Rocky Touch or do not have a team to join?

Visit the local clubs page to find a junior club, speak with your school about entering a team or contact Rocky Touch. Once team nominations have been finalised, the administration team will do its best to help place individual players into a suitable team.
